There is a largely untapped pool of amazing workers who happen to have disabilities of varying degrees. They are simply waiting to be discovered. As a liaison to bring together those employees and their prospective employers, Mosby Services helps you to discover these workers.

What you’re seeking is waiting to be discovered!

Employer Compensation

There is a change in business culture happening in our society. Businesses and organizations are moving to a more humanizing work environment. Employers are not just relying on resumes and degrees to find the right talent. Many businesses are tapping into diverse communities, understanding the power of diversity and inclusion. How would helping to create great talent increase and improve your bottom-line profits?

We assist employers in finding great talent for their company, by offering a unique and effective opportunity for employers to tap into the community of people with disabilities. This opportunity is called Employer Compensation for use of their worksite. What this means is an employer, if qualified, can be compensated for allowing us to bring in a jobseeker with disabilities to their worksite for hands-on work experience. This allows us to measure and observe the jobseeker’s compensatory skills. To make this seamless for the employer, we are responsible for observing and training the client.

For example, a client’s job goal is to become a receptionist the employer will explain the tasks and duties to a job coach. The job coach will then teach the tasks and duties to the client and observe the client’s ability to do the job. Another benefit to the employer is being able to observe a potential employee before hiring him or her. While there are no obligations to hire, if a client shows great potential the employer can inquire about his or her hiring status. Also, being recognized in the community as an employer who commits to diversity and inclusion draws in additional customers. Importantly, you the employer, can take this opportunity to know more about people with disabilities and our community, understand people with disabilities are the same as everyone else looking to improve their lives and society by working and paying taxes.

On the Job Training

Another momentary incentive for employers is when the employer makes the decision to hire a client of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). To compensate the employer for lost productivity while the job seeker is in training to perform the job duties satisfactory, the client’s wages are reimbursed over a three-month period.

Make a Difference Today

On-the-Job-Training is job skill training provided by the employer in an employment setting after placement has been secured with the clear expectation that employment will be the same or a similar job for the employer will continue if training is successful. The training fee paid to the employer by DVR is designed to offset the employer’s costs for lost productivity while training the individual to perform job duties satisfactorily. Reimbursement to the employer covers shifts where the individual is present and does not include sick, personal, or holiday leave. All on-the-job training arrangements will be documented using DVR’s On-the-Job Training Agreement that DVR staff creates.
