Career development is more than just deciding what kind of job you want. It’s a lifelong process that helps you navigate and drive the direction your career takes over the course of your employment. Throughout your life you will change, situations will change, and you will continually have to make career and life decisions.
The goal of career coaching is to not only help you make the decisions you need to make now, but to give you the knowledge and skills you need to make future career and life decisions. Your career development actually started when you were born! There are numerous factors that influence your career development, including your interests, abilities, values, personality, background, and circumstances. Career coaching helps you to know and understand yourself and your environment in order to make the best career, educational, and life decisions for yourself.
It’s not that the road has ended if you are facing challenges, it’s just taken a slight detour and you need an expert to help you plan for the journey ahead.
